SOFT-LAUNCH POLICIES
Clear expectations for every pickup.
These policies explain how ForkSignal handles accounts, listings, pickup requests, Premium subscriptions, personal information, refunds, and food-safety concerns.

Terms of use
ForkSignal helps customers discover food trucks and send pickup requests. Food is sold and fulfilled by the independent truck shown on the order. Unless checkout expressly says otherwise, payment is made directly to that truck at pickup.
Accounts and acceptable use. Provide accurate information, protect access to your account, and use the service lawfully. Do not impersonate others, interfere with the service, misuse pickup codes, submit fraudulent requests, scrape private data, or harass customers, vendors, or support staff.
Pickup requests. A request is not accepted until the truck confirms it. Availability and preparation estimates can change. Online cancellation normally closes 10 minutes before pickup. Repeated no-shows, fraud, safety concerns, or abuse may result in ordering restrictions.
Vendor responsibilities. Vendors control their menus, prices, availability, operating location, fulfillment, food preparation, permits, taxes, and compliance with applicable food, consumer, accessibility, and business laws. Listings must be accurate and must not mislead customers.
Service availability. ForkSignal may change, pause, investigate, remove, or discontinue features and listings to protect users or operate the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Mandatory consumer protections in a customer’s jurisdiction continue to apply.
Privacy notice
ForkSignal records approximate signed-in app activity and your help-guide votes to improve support. Authorized super-admins can review account activity and guide-feedback totals. Truck discovery measurements use a temporary browser-tab identifier to limit repeat counts; vendors receive aggregate listing views, menu opens, and order totals, not individual browsing histories. Background page refreshes do not count as new views.
ForkSignal processes account identity, contact details, role, saved trucks, preferences, approximate or device-provided location, orders, pickup activity, support conversations, ratings, vendor listing data, subscription status, and security or audit events.
We use this information to operate nearby discovery, fulfill and track pickup requests, secure accounts, administer vendors and subscriptions, answer support requests, investigate safety or misuse reports, provide analytics, and improve reliability.
Information is shared only as needed with the truck involved in an order, service providers that host or support ForkSignal, payment providers for Premium billing, authorities when legally required, or other parties with consent. Customer device location is not displayed publicly. A live vendor’s published service location is visible to customers.
We retain information for as long as needed for operations, safety, dispute handling, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. Depending on local law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability through the support center. Some records may need to be retained.
ForkSignal is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to an online service in their jurisdiction. International use may involve processing information outside a user’s country with appropriate safeguards.
Premium subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
Premium is an optional recurring vendor subscription. The price, billing interval, currency, taxes, trial terms, and renewal date are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled through billing management.
Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves Premium available through the paid billing period. Removing a listing does not automatically cancel its subscription. Vendors should cancel billing separately before archiving a truck.
Refund requests can be submitted through the support center. ForkSignal may issue a full or partial refund for duplicate charges, verified service failures, billing mistakes, or another fair reason. Usage already received, promotional periods, and time remaining in a billing cycle may be considered. Nothing here limits refund rights required by local law.
Approved refunds return to the original payment method when supported. Bank processing times vary. A refund does not necessarily cancel the subscription unless the confirmation says it does.
Allergy and food-safety notice
ForkSignal does not prepare food and cannot guarantee an allergen-free order. Menus, ingredient descriptions, dietary labels, and safety responses are supplied by independent vendors. Shared equipment, substitutions, and cross-contact may occur.
Customers with allergies or medical dietary requirements should contact the truck directly, describe the concern clearly in the pickup note, and confirm the vendor can safely fulfill it before consuming the food. Do not rely solely on filters, icons, translations, or menu descriptions.
Vendors must review allergy and safety notes before accepting an order, communicate uncertainty honestly, decline orders they cannot safely fulfill, and follow applicable food-handling and disclosure rules.
For an immediate medical emergency, contact local emergency services. Report serious safety concerns to ForkSignal afterward through the support center so the listing and incident can be reviewed.
Questions or policy requests? Contact ForkSignal through the support center. Material changes to these policies will be reflected by the updated date above.
